Add a listing by hand

Four short steps: sale or rent, where it is, the home, and the price and mandate.

Updated 27 September 2026, about 2 minutes

  1. On Listings, press New listing. On a phone, it's the round + at the bottom right. From Properties the same button says New property.

  2. Choose For sale or To rent. Everything after follows from it, and the choice moves you on by itself.

  3. Type the address, suburb and city. Deed suggests as you type, drops a pin on the map (drag it if it's off) and checks it against the property register. Press Continue.

  4. Add the bedrooms and the size in m² if you have them, and press Continue. Both can wait.

  5. Enter the asking price, or the monthly rent for a rental. The status starts as Active on Listings; change it if you need to. + Add a mandate records a sole or open mandate and when it expires, so Deed can show you when one is about to end. Press Add listing (Add property, from Properties), and its page opens.

Made a mistake? The back arrow at the top of the form () walks you back a step, and everything can be edited later from the property's page.
